TOOL-SPECIFIC GUIDE

How to use WhatsApp Resizer

1. Select your input

Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device using the file button or supported drop area. The standard file picker accepts browser-readable images up to 25 MB; decoding support depends on the file and browser.

2. Understand the settings

Choose the preset and Fill/Crop, Fit or Stretch, then an output format.

3. Process and review

Inspect the subject within the selected canvas, process and try the image in WhatsApp’s upload preview.

4. Save your result

Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.

Supported formats

Input: browser-readable images, normally JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 25 MB. Output controls include the shown Keep, JPG, PNG or WebP choices. Keep preserves a supported source encoding choice, not byte-for-byte original data; animation is not preserved.

When to use this tool

Fit a still photo to the available profile, status or business-image preset. Leave space around a subject that may be displayed inside a circular crop.

What to check in the result

WhatsApp can recompress or crop shared images. Review the posted result and use the original if a document-style transfer is needed elsewhere.

Continue with Change Image Aspect Ratio when that step fits your workflow.

A practical example

Create a square profile photo with sufficient space around the head for circular display.

Capabilities and limitations

Square output can still be displayed as a circle. Status/profile requirements can change after this release.

Troubleshooting

If the Whatsapp preview clips a subject, use fit/padding instead of fill/crop. Verify the receiving platform’s current requirements; bundled presets are not a live specification feed.

Processing and privacy

Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.

Questions about WhatsApp Resizer

Are Whatsapp presets updated live?

No. These are bundled still-image presets. Check current platform requirements before publishing.

How can I avoid stretching a face?

Use proportional fit or crop/pad choices and inspect the final composition instead of stretching independently.
