What cookies and similar storage do
Cookies are small records stored by a browser and can be sent with requests to their associated domain. Local storage stores information on your device for the site. A cache stores downloaded assets to reduce repeated downloads. These technologies have different purposes; browser processing is not the same as a promise that no storage or network requests occur.
Current storage categories
Required preference storage: imgprocess-privacy-v1 in local storage records whether optional analytics was accepted or rejected, the choice timestamp and the preference-policy version. It expires in the application after 180 days. If storage is unavailable, the choice is respected for the current page session but may not survive a reload.
Optional analytics: after acceptance, Google Analytics 4 can set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browser visits and support measurement. Cookie lifetimes depend on the property settings and browser. The release does not independently verify every Google account setting or cookie expiry.
Functional assets and working state: website code, fonts, locally loaded models and runtime files can be cached. Image previews and processing state are generally maintained in browser memory. Saved downloads are files you control, not tracking cookies. Hosting and security services can also process normal request information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Accepting or rejecting analytics
The first-visit control offers Accept analytics and Reject analytics with equal access. Google Analytics is not loaded by this release before acceptance. Rejecting optional analytics leaves core image tools available. There is no preselected advertising consent, and continuing to browse does not count as acceptance.
A saved choice applies to this browser on this origin. Localhost, preview domains and www.imgprocess.com are separate origins, so your local testing choice does not carry over to production. Clearing storage or expiry can show the control again.
Changing a choice
Open Cookie preferences in the footer or the control below whenever you want to change your analytics choice. Rejecting after earlier acceptance disables future collection in this implementation, attempts to clear accessible _ga cookies and reloads the page. Some cookie scopes may need removal through your browser settings. Withdrawal does not delete data already received by a provider.
Browser settings can block or delete cookies and local storage. Removing model caches means assets may need downloading again. Restricting functional storage or scripts may affect processing; rejecting analytics alone should not. Do not treat an advertising opt-out as a guarantee that all cookies or all measurement cease.
Future advertising controls
There is no active AdSense or other ad-network integration in this release. If ads are enabled, the active vendors, identifiers, purposes, retention information where known and opt-out links must be disclosed before activation. Advertising preferences must be kept distinct from optional website analytics.
Personalized Google publisher ads for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland require the appropriate Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the applicable transparency framework. This site’s analytics-choice control is not that certified platform and does not authorize such ads. Other regions and networks can impose additional requirements.
