How to use Rotate Image
1. Select your input
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device using the file button or supported drop area. The standard file picker accepts browser-readable images up to 25 MB; decoding support depends on the file and browser.
2. Understand the settings
Preset rotation buttons handle 90°, 180° and 270°. A custom angle is available for smaller corrections.
3. Process and review
Choose the rotation, preview the orientation, process and download after checking edges and output dimensions.
4. Save your result
Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.
Supported formats
Input: browser-readable images, normally JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 25 MB. Output controls include the shown Keep, JPG, PNG or WebP choices. Keep preserves a supported source encoding choice, not byte-for-byte original data; animation is not preserved.
When to use this tool
Correct a sideways or upside-down image with the available rotation controls. Rotation changes orientation rather than resizing the subject.
What to check in the result
Confirm text reads normally after rotation. A mirrored selfie needs Flip Image rather than another quarter turn.
Continue with Flip Image when that step fits your workflow.
A practical example
Turn a sideways scanned document by 90° rather than flipping its writing.
Capabilities and limitations
A non-right-angle rotation can introduce corners or change the canvas bounds; inspect before sharing.
Troubleshooting
If the orientation is still wrong, reset and choose the opposite angle. Non-right-angle rotations can create empty corners; check the output background.
Processing and privacy
Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.
Questions about Rotate Image
Can I rotate by a custom angle?
The tool includes its shown angle controls; non-right-angle output may need cropping afterward.
Why are there empty corners after rotation?
An angled rectangular image does not fill every corner of a rectangular output canvas.
