How to use Favicon Generator
1. Select your input
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device using the file button or supported drop area. The standard file picker accepts browser-readable images up to 25 MB; decoding support depends on the file and browser.
2. Understand the settings
Choose one of the offered output sizes and inspect the rendered icon before download.
3. Process and review
Start with a simple square mark, select a small icon size, generate and check readability at actual size.
4. Save your result
Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.
Supported formats
Input: a browser-readable image, normally JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 25 MB. Output: favicon.ico at the selected pixel size.
When to use this tool
Make a compact icon from an image using the available favicon export. A simple shape with good contrast is easier to recognize at small sizes.
What to check in the result
Inspect the actual export format and size. This workflow does not automatically produce every operating-system icon, manifest or multi-resolution ICO asset.
Continue with SVG to PNG when that step fits your workflow.
A practical example
Use a clear logo symbol rather than a long wordmark that becomes unreadable in a tab.
Capabilities and limitations
A single generated icon is not a complete web-app branding set or a multi-size ICO package unless the interface explicitly provides that output.
Troubleshooting
If the icon becomes unreadable at 16 pixels, use a simpler source mark with stronger contrast. Check the downloaded ICO in a supporting viewer.
Processing and privacy
Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.
Questions about Favicon Generator
Which sizes can I choose?
The tool offers 16, 32, 48, 64, 128 and 256 pixel icon sizes.
Does this generate a full manifest pack?
No. It creates the selected favicon output; app manifests and a multi-asset installation pack are separate work.
