How to use Blur Image
1. Select your input
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device using the file button or supported drop area. The standard file picker accepts browser-readable images up to 25 MB; decoding support depends on the file and browser.
2. Understand the settings
Blur strength runs from 1 to 40 pixels. Start gently and compare important edges.
3. Process and review
Choose the image, set blur strength, process and review the result at the intended viewing scale.
4. Save your result
Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.
Supported formats
Input: browser-readable images, normally JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 25 MB. Output controls include the shown Keep, JPG, PNG or WebP choices. Keep preserves a supported source encoding choice, not byte-for-byte original data; animation is not preserved.
When to use this tool
Apply adjustable blur across an image for a deliberate visual treatment. Use a conservative setting when recognizable structure should remain.
What to check in the result
This tool is not certified redaction or a guarantee of anonymity. Inspect any sensitive text, reflection or identifying context before sharing.
Continue with Pixelate Image when that step fits your workflow.
A practical example
Soften a busy background illustration before placing readable text over it.
Capabilities and limitations
This applies overall blur and is not a dependable sensitive-data redaction system. Residual information may remain.
Troubleshooting
If the subject becomes unrecognizable, lower the blur strength. Check the downloaded file; a small preview can hide how strong the blur is.
Processing and privacy
Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.
Questions about Blur Image
Is blur guaranteed to hide private information?
No. Do not assume blur makes sensitive text or identity unrecoverable; review your privacy needs carefully.
Can I brush just one area here?
Use the controls actually shown. This basic blur workflow is not advertised as a selective region brush.
