How to use Add Watermark
1. Select your input
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device using the file button or supported drop area. The standard file picker accepts browser-readable images up to 25 MB; decoding support depends on the file and browser.
2. Understand the settings
Set watermark text, colour, opacity, size, rotation, padding and one of nine positions. Repeated tiling covers a wider area.
3. Process and review
Enter your mark, choose position, adjust visibility, process and check readability against both bright and dark regions.
4. Save your result
Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.
Supported formats
Input: browser-readable images, normally JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 25 MB. Output controls include the shown Keep, JPG, PNG or WebP choices. Keep preserves a supported source encoding choice, not byte-for-byte original data; animation is not preserved.
When to use this tool
Place a text watermark on an image you are entitled to publish. Adjust its appearance so it remains visible without obscuring the main subject unnecessarily.
What to check in the result
A watermark is a visible label, not a legal registration or a guarantee against copying. Verify spelling and placement in the downloaded file.
Continue with Add Text to Image when that step fits your workflow.
A practical example
Add a modest studio name at the bottom right of a portfolio preview.
Capabilities and limitations
A watermark is a visual label rather than proof of ownership or an unremovable security measure.
Troubleshooting
If the mark is unreadable, increase opacity or choose a contrasting colour. If it is clipped, reduce font size or change position and padding.
Processing and privacy
Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.
Questions about Add Watermark
Does a watermark prevent copying?
No. It is a visible ownership or attribution mark, not a technical copy-protection guarantee.
Can I repeat the text across the image?
Use the repeated watermark setting and inspect spacing, opacity and rotation.
