Image Conversion Tools

Choose an output format for compatibility, transparency or a different encoding trade-off. The general converter exports JPG, PNG and WebP, with dedicated SVG, BMP and GIF workflows.

Select the destination format

Use JPG for an opaque photo when broad compatibility matters. PNG stores transparency and is often useful for a graphic or cutout. WebP can store photographs and transparency, but the receiving app must support it.

PNG to JPG flattens transparent space into an opaque background. JPG to PNG does not recover detail removed by earlier lossy encoding. Decide on the output based on the destination rather than the filename alone.

Know what specialist conversions preserve

SVG to PNG rasterizes a vector image; keep the SVG source for scaling. BMP to JPG depends on browser decoding of the BMP variant. GIF to JPG exports the supported first frame and does not preserve animation.

This launch collection does not include PDF, PSD or general HEIC conversion. A filename change is not a file-format conversion. Use the tool’s supported-format notes before selecting an unusual input.
