Separate a white backdrop from transparency
A transparent cutout can be placed over another design. A white background is an opaque part of the image. Decide which deliverable the destination actually needs before selecting a background workflow.
Start with a source where the subject’s outline is visible. Transparent objects, pale subjects against pale backgrounds, fine hair and shadows can complicate segmentation. The background editor’s development/testing notice applies to the whole tool.
Create and inspect the local cutout
Open Background Changer and select your photo. Allow the local model and runtime assets to load, then review the draft mask. The initial asset load can be larger than an ordinary editing page because model files are downloaded to your device.
Inspect handles, thin outlines, hair and transparent edges. Use the available erase and restore brushes to correct a small area at a time. If a brush action removes something important, use stepwise Undo instead of painting an even larger correction over it.
Select white and compare the edges
Choose the solid-colour background and set it to white. Examine the subject against a contrasting backdrop as well, because a pale fringe can disappear visually on white. Return to the desired white background after correcting the mask.
Check whether remaining shadows, edge halos or missing fine details suit the intended image. A cutout can need human refinement even when the main subject was separated successfully. Avoid promising perfect hair or transparent-object handling.
Export for the destination
Choose the available JPG, PNG or WebP output appropriate to the receiver. JPG is suitable for an opaque copy; PNG or WebP is useful when you also want a transparent version in a separate export. Open the downloaded file and check its dimensions.
A white-backed image is not automatically compliant with a marketplace, passport or identity-photo rule. Review the destination’s current subject, framing, shadow, colour and file requirements. Resize and compress only after the composition is correct.
