How to use Base64 to Image
1. Select your input
Paste a complete image data URL into the text input. Include the data:image/...;base64 prefix when the supplied string uses it; remove accidental wrapping characters from copied code.
2. Understand the settings
Paste the complete supported Base64 image string into the input and use the decode control.
3. Process and review
Paste clean data, decode, inspect the preview and download the resulting image.
4. Save your result
Use the result’s Download control after processing. Keep your original separately and inspect the exported copy at its intended display size; the preview alone is not the file you will share.
Supported formats
Input: a valid image Base64 payload or data URL within the tool’s 25 MB validation limit. Output depends on the encoded source image and browser support.
When to use this tool
Decode supported image Base64 or a data URL into an image you can review and download. Check the MIME type and encoded content supplied to the tool.
What to check in the result
Malformed, truncated or non-image data can fail. Decoding is not decryption and does not establish that an untrusted file is safe.
Continue with Image Information when that step fits your workflow.
A practical example
Recover an icon from a data:image/png;base64 string copied from your own HTML.
Capabilities and limitations
A truncated or malformed string will not decode. Treat Base64 like the original image data; it is not encryption.
Troubleshooting
If decoding fails, remove accidental quotation marks or unrelated text and check the data prefix and payload. The decoded content must be a supported image.
Processing and privacy
Image pixels are processed on your device. Loading the website and processing assets still uses a network connection, and hosting may receive normal request information. Keep original files backed up.
Questions about Base64 to Image
Can it decode any Base64 text?
It must contain valid supported image data. Arbitrary encoded text does not become a photograph.
Why does a copied string fail?
It may be truncated, incorrectly prefixed or contain unrelated characters. Retry with the complete original image data.
