Record whether you used an original, screenshot or recompressed copy.
Read the analysis acknowledgment and connected-processing notice.
Check which tests completed and which were limited or unavailable.
Treat missing metadata as missing evidence, not proof of generation.
Do not interpret confidence as a percentage of edited pixels.
Consider false positives, false negatives and ordinary alternative explanations.
Compare with independent context and original source records.
Retain the exact input and reviewed report together.
Describe uncertainty explicitly; a clean score is not an authenticity certificate.
Obtain independent expert review for consequential decisions.
